TASCHEN Young Talent Program
The TASCHEN Young Talent program is designed to identify and develop future talent who are looking to kickstart their careers within the publishing industry.
Our Young Talents will have the opportunity to be mentored by our dedicated and knowledgeable team leaders, and will support the organisation’s short and long-term objectives by engaging in a range of tasks, from hands on day-to-day duties to ongoing and strategic projects.
As part of our commitment to building the next generation of TASCHEN’s bright, driven and inspiring global team, the Young Talent Program is an excellent entry point for an exciting future career in the publishing and creative industries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assisting our graphic design department with upcoming titles, design, and packaging concepts
• Typesetting, and continuation of layouts based on sample pages.
• Working with the Adobe suite, such as InDesign scripts to edit the content, formatting, and graphics of books.
• Coordinating with the editing and prepress department in the evaluation and implementation of content and graphic corrections.
YOUR PROFILE
• Passion for and knowledge in design, typography, art, art history, photography, architecture, pop culture, travel and fashion – the foundations of our publishing program.
• Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
• Clear visual language.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supporting the editorial team with our projects on topics from the fields of art, architecture, design, film, photography, and pop culture.
• Conducting text and image research, assisting in text creation, proofreading, editing, and translation tasks as well as working on layout and typesetting.
• Clarification of image, text, and artist rights and procurement of image material.
• Engaging in layout and graphic assignments, including implementing design corrections.
• Internal coordination with the graphics and production departments.
• Communicating with international authors, translators, freelancers, museums, and picture agencies.
YOUR PROFILE
• Strong Interest in and knowledge in editorial tasks, as well as art, art history, photography, architecture, design, pop culture, travel, and fashion – the foundations of our publishing program.
• Confident with Microsoft Office, databases, Adobe Acrobat, and InDesign.
• Organizational talent with an eye for detail and strong sense of precision.
• Enjoy working with language and perfect knowledge of spelling and grammar.
• Proficiency in written and spoken German and English, coupled with a high comfort level in additional Romance languages, such as French or Spanish.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Independent, structured and team-oriented way of working and strong interpersonal skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assisting in the E-commerce and Online Marketing team in their daily tasks and marketing activities.
• Create, produce, and manage high-quality content.
• Support all marketing channels in their execution.
• Data analysis, reporting, forecasting and insights flow on online marketing performance and social media activities on a regular basis.
• Working on commercial & marketing KPIs for high growth e-commerce business.
• Be a key member of the Online Marketing team, bringing ideas to the table for marketing, client outreach, prospecting, etc.
YOUR PROFILE
• Strong Interest in and knowledge in marketing, e-commerce, social media, marketing trends in the UK as well as art, art history, photography, architecture, design, pop culture, travel and fashion – the foundations of our publishing program.
• A good understanding and up-to-date knowledge of the key digital marketing channels, marketing mix and relevant associated tools.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills, any other language is a plus.
• Confident with Microsoft Office, databases, Adobe Acrobat (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and good knowledge of SEO, SEM, Google analytics and CRM.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist with the promotion of TASCHEN books, artists, and authors in global markets and in the media.
• Review, filter, and respond to incoming press inquiries.
• Coordinate book review copies and press image packets for journalists.
• Assist in the development of press materials and texts, including press pitches, press releases, and promotional assets.
• Coordinate press and influencer mailings.
• Assist with the production and execution of press events including book launches, in-store activations, partnerships, and artist talks.
• Research and identify creative promotional opportunities for TASCHEN books and special projects.
• Assist in the development of press and media reports.
• Assist with select digital marketing campaigns to ensure alignment with communications strategies.
• Administrative duties as needed.
YOUR PROFILE
• Interest in and knowledge of art, art history, photography, architecture, design, fashion, and pop culture – the foundations of our publishing program.
• A passion for keeping up to date with the press landscape, and an interest in new and developing trends in the media and on social platforms.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proofreading, editing and copywriting skills in English and German – other languages a plus.
• Meticulous attention to detail, creative, proactive, resourceful.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office, Database Management Systems, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat and knowledge of CMS software.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Team player with an open-minded, flexible, and problem-solving approach.
