January 30, 2025: To celebrate the release of David Bailey’s new book, Eighties, at the V&A in London, Jo Ellison, Deputy Editor of FT Weekend and Editor of FT How To Spend It, was joined by Catherine Bailey – model, muse, and David Bailey’s partner for nearly 40 years; their son, Fenton Bailey – photographer and curator of the book; and the inimitable Susie Cave – fashion designer, entrepreneur, and model, whose iconic presence in the book reflects her lasting influence on style and culture.
Together, they took part in a captivating conversation about 1980s fashion, shooting with Bailey, and the creation of the book in celebration of its release.
